Alexandria Restaurant Week
Consider yourself a foodie? Get ready to experience some of the best restaurants in town as Alexandria Restaurant Week kicks off! For ten days, area 70 restaurants will be offering a $35 three-course dinner for one OR a $35 dinner for two. 35 restaurants will also offer lunch menus at $15 or $22 per person in addition to the dinner specials, and more than a dozen restaurants will feature brunch menus for $15 or $22 per person. The event showcases the creativity and unique talents of local chefs throughout the city, including the neighborhoods of Old Town, Del Ray, Carlyle and Eisenhower, and the West End. From casual neighborhood eateries to high-end restaurants specializing in international cuisine, diners will have the opportunity to taste and see what makes Alexandria's food scene so delicious. Winterfest
What better way to chase away the chill of winter than with some of NOVA’s best beer? Join Caboose Brewing Co. and come out to Caboose Commons, where nine local breweries will be offering their brews in the heated tents. Enjoy live music by Mindy Miller and Tim Cretella, or join in on the fun of Woofbowl outside. In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, local nurses, doctors, EMTs, first responders, police officers, firefighters, teachers, active duty military personnel, and veterans will enjoy early access to the festival as well as “local hero happy hour” from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., with complimentary beer tickets and first access to all of the beers on tap! 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Free to enter, beer tickets for purchase at the door. A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder
Love a good mystery? Check out the Little Theatre of Alexandria’s intriguing production of this quirky play, during which you’ll meet a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to speed up the line of succession by using his charming — if somewhat murderous —personality.
