George Washington’s Mount Vernon recently invited wine lovers to come together in a celebration of wine in Virginia. Guests were encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy the views of the Potomac River from the East Lawn while sampling wines from 20 of Virginia’s finest wineries. The 3-day, sold-out festival is Mount Vernon’s most popular event of the year and offers visitors with the unique opportunity to enjoy unlimited wine tastings and tours of the mansion, gardens, and distillery.
