The second annual Taste of Old Town North gave residents and visitors a chance to sample art, culture, and cuisine. The event was held at Montgomery Park and was kicked off by a welcome speech from Alexandria’s Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker.

The food was the main focus, with free tastings provided by Trader Joe’s, Cafe 44, T.J. Stone’s, Lost Dog Cafe, Extra Perks, Thanida Thai, and Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House.

The event featured a yoga class, karate demonstrations, and local history shared Engin Artemel, Alexandria’s former planning director. Guests enjoyed live music by Dave Lange, a one-man hill country blues band, and Sally & the Mander, a duo consisting of Buzz and Hope Peele, who played original songs and popular covers.
