A beautiful evening of boat racing, live music, and great food set the scene for Alexandria’s annual Leukemia Cup Regatta hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the Washington Sailing Marina. Attendees included leukemia survivors, event volunteers and staff, and even pets. Watching this close-knit community keep its strength and spirits high was awe-inspiring, and the fundraising efforts were sizable. Every small step the society makes toward curing leukemia and lymphoma is considered a victory in their eyes.
