Washington D.C. recently through an epic victory celebration that was 95 years in the making. The Washington Nationals won the 2019 World Series, defeating the Houston Astros 6-2 and earning their first title in franchise history.
Washington Nationals fans lined the downtown streets for a World Series parade + rally that turned the whole city red. Ted Learner, former managing principal owner of the team, cheerfully announced, ““For the first time since 1924 we brought the world championship back to Washington.”
