Little Theatre of Alexandria: A Christmas Carol

Little Theatre of Alexandria welcomes the holiday season with their presentation of the beloved Charles Dickens classic. Watch as miser Ebenezer Scrooge travels through Christmas past, present, and future along with his ghostly guides and comes to discover the true meaning of Christmas. The performance captivates audiences of all ages with great special effects, Victorian carols, and – of course – everyone’s favorite character, Tiny Tim. 9th Annual Alexandria Holiday Lights Ride

Gear up for free family fun with the Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Alexandria Spokeswomen during the Alexandria Holiday Lights Ride. During this annual event, riders come out for a great ride taking them through the community of Del Ray to see all of the festive holiday lights! Decorate your bike for the season and come ready for an hour-and-a-half-long cruise through approximately five miles of decoratively lit streets. If you’ve ever wanted to experience a traditional Victorian Christmas, you’ll love seeing the wonder and magic of the season at the Lee-Fendall House. You’ll learn about Alexandria's holiday traditions through the centuries and keep in the spirit of the season as you visit each new place. Dance in the ballroom at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, where you’ll also find a cash bar for adult beverages, then get cozy fireside at Carlyle House. Visit the Apothecary Museum, where you’ll find the scent of the holidays, then make your very own Victorian keepsake at Lee-Fendall House. All throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy seasonal decorations and refreshments.
