When Kristen Jones calls herself a “boutique concierge realtor,” she’s not overselling herself. She’s truly hands-on, taking a personal interest in the clients she works with, so that no detail is overlooked before, during, or even after the buying process. She helps her clients with everything from picking the perfect paint colors and stains for their hardwood flooring, to ordering light fixtures and furnishing their new homes.

For Jones, these are just things that come naturally as an extension of being a lover of people. She has turned her ability to make connections and her innate talent for design into a successful career as a real estate agent specializing in the Alexandria market. Add to that her deep passion for the area and knowledge of the local community, and you have a powerhouse who is determined to make her mark in the local real estate scene – and that has certainly translated to her success. “For me, it’s all about helping my clients reach their goals,” said the 43-year-old former Fairfax County teacher. A wife and mother of two young boys, her greatest challenge in attainting success has been in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, but her family has also been a great driving force in keeping her focused on forward growth.
That growth has been impressive, with sales in 2018 over $15 million and with more than $30 million so far in 2019. She said the secret behind her growth isn’t confidential, but something rather simple: “I listen to my clients’ needs. I pride myself on that and the fact that I really personalize the service. I love what I do. I know exactly where my clients’ deals lie on any given day; things in real estate change minute to minute, day to day, and you need someone there with you every step of the way.” As a one-woman team under the McEnearney Associates name, Jones greatly credits her assistant, Summer Hine, in helping her maintain her busy schedule and stay so hands-on. “Being small, without a large team, keeps the whole experience more personal, and that’s my strength.” As she continues serving clients throughout Northern Virginia, Jones seems only to be building that strength – and she has no plans to stop.
