Gadsby’s Tavern Museum recently hosted The Jane Austen Ball, and it was about so much more than the beautiful costumes. The building in which the ball took place is full of history. Guests gathered in the same ballroom where George Washington twice attended The Annual Birthnight Ball which was held in his honor.
The evening included live music, period-inspired desserts and libations, and dancing. The unique hanging musician’s gallery was impressive and created the perfect acoustics for the evening.
