Did you know that Pilates provides excellent rehabilitation and wellness training?
Thousands of Physical Therapists incorporate elements of Pilates into their practice, so that clients can benefit from its holistic, wellness-focused movements.
More than a recent fitness craze, Pilates was founded in the early 20th century to help rehabilitate wounded soldiers. Combining sustained, controlled movements with gentle, low-impact resistance has proven to improve health and build strength and range of motion in patients with various conditions. It also focuses on your breathing patterns, increasing your endurance and blood circulation for more energy throughout your day.
Our instructors are comprehensively trained for 500 hours, giving them the ability to effectively assess and address the physical limitations of special populations, such as those recovering from injury or disability. Club Pilates Viera also provides Private Training for an even more tailored experience to help patients transition back into safe exercise.
'Everybody needs pilates...
It doesn't matter what you do in life, whether you're sitting at your desk every single day, whether you're a mom, whether you're a grandparent, whether you're a high powered CEO, whether you're a janitor, school teacher, firefighter - it doesn't matter. Every single body needs Pilates. Because Pilates is one of the few forms of exercise that encourages somebody to focus in on this thing that they've been living in for so long - their body. Over the last few years of practicing as a Physical Therapist and teaching Pilates at the same time, it has solidified my belief that Pilates is a healing tool for the human body.' - Doctor Femi Betiku, DPT CSCS PMA ®-CPT and Club Pilates Instructor.
