AHS Fall Festival

A gorgeous fall day set the backdrop for this year’s American Horticultural Society’s Fall Festival. Families showed up to George Washington’s river house, which was in full fall bloom, to visit a marketplace with plants, food, and craft vendors. Kids also enjoyed making their own scarecrows to take home, putting together nature-based art, having their faces painted, learning about beekeeping, and learning what the American Horticultural Society does through demonstrations based around the market.

Guests could grab a hot apple cider from Dawn & Dusk Coffee while listening to the Custis Street Boys band, or head over to the marketplace where vendors were selling organic skincare, food, home goods, art, and giving away complimentary pumpkins.
