Tide Lock Park (for a little romance)

This great picnic spot is located only feet away from Cafe 44's Curbside Pick-Up. Enjoy the art and lush green grass as you watch the boats and planes go by. We highly recommend this picnic location for evening date nights. The sunsets are beautiful! (Don't forget the bubbly! Cheers!)


Jones Point Park (for the little explorers)

Who would have guessed there would be such a gorgeous picnic spot located under a bridge? The path gravel paths will lead you to the perfect picnic spot to enjoy a flatbread (or two)! Choose to setup at one of two fishing piers, under the trees on the banks of the Potomac River or even at the base of Jones Point Lighthouse.

Huntley Meadows Park (for getting back to nature)

This hidden gem is about a 10-15 minute drive from Old Town, Alexandria but it is well worth the short distance. Huntley Meadows Park is home to a historical home, beautiful forests, wildflower filled meadows and protected wetlands. Park the car. Take a stroll down the trail and find the perfect picnic spot!

Gravelly Point (for cycling enthusiasts)

George Washington Memorial Parkway, Arlington, VA 22202



Gravelly Point is technically located in Arlington, but it’s just a bike ride away from Old Town, Alexandria via the Mount Vernon Trail! If you are a family who loves to ride, pack up your picnic in a backpack, hop on your bikes on the trail in Alexandria and enjoy the scenery for 5 miles until your reach Gravelly Point. With plenty of picnic space to choose from, you’ll enjoy your afternoon eating, drinking and watching the low planes overhead as they take off from and land at Reagan International Airport.

Ben Brenman Park (for quality time with pets)

This west end park is located at the east end of the former U.S. Army base at Cameron Station. It includes picnic areas, an amphitheater, athletic fields, a beautiful pond, walking/biking trails and (the best part) it is dog friendly!
